EM519033 Bi-Directional meter provides three different readings that scroll across on the screen automatically; these readings are Import, Export and NET values. NET Values should be used as Feed In Tariff readings when used with DC coupled storage or Hybrid (PV and Battery) inverters. This meter meets the “Bi-directional meter” criteria as listed in ‘Guidance for generators: Co-location of electricity storage facilities with renewable generation supported under the Renewables Obligation or Feed-in Tariff schemes (Version 2)’ document released by OFGEM.

Product Application
Bidirectional meter measures power flows going into and out of your home or business. The difference between a bidirectional meter and a traditional meter is that the bidirectional meter has three different readings: (1) delivered, (2) received, and (3) net; whereas the traditional meter only has one reading: (1) delivered.
Nowadays, a smart bi-directional meter is available in the market which can be display both import current as well as export current. However, our main requirement is to know the imported power and export power.
IVY's bi-directional meter measures the flow of electricity in two directions. It measures how much energy you’ve consumed and how much solar energy you’ve feed back into the grid. it's the real bidirectional meter
