MD0630T01A-3 is a cable type default threshold value of DC 6mA, AC 30mA (alarm value can be set) AC DC residual current sensor. It has the characteristics of accurate measurement, high sensitivity, digital signal, push-pull output, integrated design, and small size. current DC current range 2~15mA, AC current 3~100mA, accuracy DC±0.2mA, AC±0.3mA@25℃. With UART serial communication, Modbus protocol, It Complies with the DC protection requirements of IEC61851-23 mode 4 DC-charging. And it also Complies with the AC protection requirements of IEC62752(Mode 2) IEC61851-1-21-22 (mode 3) & UL2231.
A suitable rated RCBO/RCD device may also be required in the final circuit to provide the correct level of protection whilst avoiding unnecessary tripping. Always consult wiring regulations or a electrical contractor to be sure.Users of this product assume responsibility for the correct design and installation of their EVSE. Consult the Viridian EV website or an electrical contractor if needed.
Product Introduction
In alternating current charging stations permanently connected to the electricity grid (mode 3 according to the IEC 61851-1) the presence of a differential direct current detection device (RDC-DD) is required. This device must be able to interrupt the power supply to the electric vehicle (EV) in the event that this current is equal or higher than 6mA.
This monitoring device has to be made according to the IEC 62955 Standards and it is intended to guarantee the correct operation of the Type A or Type F differential protections installed upstream of the charging station. The differential protections could otherwise be” blinded” by the presence of an excessive direct current component. IVY has been a market leader in the field of differential protection for rencend years either for those devices sensitive to alternating current (Type A and Type F) or for those ones sensitive to direct current (Type B). Thanks to this experience, IVY has developed a Residual Current Monitoring Module (RCM/RCD). This module realizes the functionality of the Residual Direct Current Monitoring Device (RDC-MD) in full compliance with the aforementioned IEC62955 Standards.

Product Application
There are level 1, level 2, level 3, mode 2, mode 3, inductive, mode 4, which means ac-charging walloutlt IC-CPD, AC charging station, inductive charging, DC-charging etc. The power class is 1ph 16A, 3ph 16A, 3ph 32A, 3 ph 63A etc, The Residual Current Monitor (RCM) module is connected in series with the AC supply to an EV and will provide an output if a fault DC current ≥ 6mA DC flows in the circuit or fault AC current ≥30mA AC flows in the circuits. This output can be used to operate an RCD, a circuit breaker or a contactor to remove the supply to the EV.
