Product Description

MD0630T01A is an automotive grade leakage current sensor also called residual current monitoring (RCM), residual current device (RCD), differential current sensor, earth leakage current detector and fault current sensor etc. It has the characteristics of accurate measurement, small size and integration. The RCD sensor can be set separately for AC and DC leakage and has a digital output function. It can detect sinusoidal AC, pulsating DC, composite of multi-frequency as well as smooth DC residual currents. Widely used for EV charging stations, PDU, Heat pumps, medical instruments, ventilation systems, UPS, DC panel, smart home, industrial machines, and solar inverters.


MD0630T01A RCD sensor detects DC currents flowing in an AC system. For example, in electric vehicle charging stations or from solar panels. DC currents flowing in an AC system may cause a Type A RCD or a Type F RCD to be blinded. This RCD sensor can be used to detect any DC current level above 6mA and its output can be used to operate a relay or a contactor to disconnect the AC supply, and display an error message on the screen of EVSE system, and wait for a user to reset the error. The sensor can issues an alarm signal when the DC component of the residual current reaches a preset value. It will protect against DC (6mA) and AC (30mA) residual currents, and will signal to the Smart EVSE if a fault occurs.
